OUR SHOP
We're now celebrating 24 years
of trading in Haslemere.
Our High Street location
with a large, well stocked forecourt display
provides an ideal setting for our
'full impact' approach to business
Despite the British weather,
we put on a show
every single working day of the year.
Our forecourt is stacked with flowers, plants and shrubs, ornamentals, hanging baskets and accessories.
Seasonal lines such as
primroses and summer bedding plants
complete the picture with cries of
"where do we put it all?"
Internally, the shop is designed
with one thing in mind.
Selling!
Every inch of space is used
and has resulted in a virtual
'Aladdin's Cave'
for anyone interested in flowers or floristry.
Buckets of fresh flowers
stretch from the door
to the full extent of the shop.
The wall fittings are packed
from floor to ceiling
with vases, silk flowers, baskets
and a vast selection
of florist sundries and accessories.
It doesn't stop there.
The ceiling is home to anything that will hang
such as raffia, baskets, dried flowers etc.
Our custom built workstation
is designed for gift wrapping
and bouquets 'on-the-fly'.
Customers can select flowers
and have them gift wrapped while they wait.
At 3.5 meters long by 1 meter deep
we have room to wrap flowers
and make up the largest bouquets simultaneously.
The overhead canopy is equipped with rails
to hold hundreds of rolls of ribbon
of every conceivable color, width and style.
Up on top are rolls of cellophane,
fabric wrap, tissue and crepe paper.
Lower shelves accommodate
almost a thousand different gift cards.
We have our own crepe-curling machine
to give that fancy ruffled edge to crepe paper.
Behind the counter,
the shelves are stacked with Oasis spray paints,
rolls of wire and special ribbons
and all the sundry items
that find their way into floristry.
Atop the wall canopy are boxes
of Oasis floral frames
with almost every shape and size in stock.
You may wonder if there is any room
left for the customers
and yes,
we do need to serve people quickly.
At the rear of the shop
we have a purpose built cold room
to keep flowers at their best
during those long, hot English summers?
Together with additional preparation units
and storage areas,
we're well equipped to provide
a complete floristry service
to all our customers.
