Gift Wrapped Bouquets The traditional 'flat-pack' bouquet is not the most exciting presentation but can be the ideal choice when the gift includes flowers of different stem lengths and the intention is for the recipient to be able to arrange the flowers themselves in a number of vases.
This is the most economical way for us to send flowers in terms of time/labour costs which means 'more flowers for your money' It doesn't mean we do a 'rush-job' however. We still have a reputation to uphold and take great care to ensure that the flowers are arranged professionally and beautifully wrapped to make an ideal gift..
Hand Tied Bouquets
Hand tied bouquets are somewhat more appealing. They add style to the presentation and display the blooms in a more natural state.
The recipient need do no more than fill a vase with water, add flower food, trim the stems and place the flowers in a vase. Of course, there are many variations to the ‘hand tied’ in terms of stem length and quantity of flowers so it is not just a case of ‘any old vase’ will do. Some rearranging may be necessary. There will be times when they may not have a suitable vase available. If they've just moved into a new home, the vases may be at the bottom of a box somewhere. On special occasions some people receive so many flowers that they simply run out of vases. In this case you may consider sending ‘flowers in a vase’. We have a great selection in all shapes and sizes with prices starting at only £1.99 We would then arrange the flowers to suit the vase with the added advantage that the flowers will not have been left out of water, thus ensuring that they arrive in perfect condition.
Aqua Pack Bouquets
Aqua packs solve the vase problem as the recipient need do nothing more than find a suitable place to display the flowers. All our Aqua packs are double lined with cellophane to guard against leakage, although we would recommend placing an absorbent material underneath as an added precaution. If the recipient wishes to place the flowers in a vase, it is quite easy to drain the water off and remove the wrapping.
Single Stems
For single stem flowers such as roses, there are a number of choices. Wrapped in cellophane with greenery, a stem phial is added so the flower is in water, and can be finished with ribbon or raffia.
A luxury silk-lined, lidded box where the flower has its own stem phial and the box is tied with delicate ribbons. A nice surprise!
Where the occasion warrants, a single long stem rose, no wrapping, just a trail of thin satin ribbon wound around the stem. (thorns removed, of course!)
Foliage
Foliage is important as it provides contrast and gives a finished look to the arrangement. We tend to use imported greenery rather than 'something out of our garden' as basically, it looks better and lasts longer.
Extras
Curly 'ting-ting' in natural, coloured and glitter effect can add a little trendiness.
Contorted willow, contorted hazel, red Cornus, Reed cane, Pussy Willow,Kiwi vine, all give a little 'pizzaz'
Wires in different colours including gold, silver and copper can add support to soft stems and be very decorative.
Coloured Sisal can be woven through the flowers to give a special effect
