Our delivery area stretches to approximately ten miles from our shop in all directions. Which means we cover approximately 300 square miles.
This area includes many small villages which may not be listed individually.

 If you do not see your destination, please phone and ask.

When you order we will require ;

The recipients full name.
On some occasions a first name is sufficient.
 However there are occasions when a surname is necessary
 to locate and identify the correct person
which is why we must ask for the surname in all cases
 to avoid any possible confusion.

A full postal address.
 If the property has a number as well as a name, please give both. Some places can be very difficult to find, especially down dark country lanes when the house name is overgrown with ivy.
 If you know the property personally, then a few simple directions can be most helpful
 e.g. half mile on left, thatched cottage.
 In most cases we will know the location and will not need any further info, in which case we will not ask for it.

The postcode.
 tells us immediately that you want Haslemere in Surrey
and not Hazlemere in Berkshire. (Yes, it happens!)

Postcodes can also be helpful as internet mapping sites will provide an exact location.

 If we are sending flowers through our relay network then the postcode will be essential

Recipients phone number.
We will only phone them if it is absolutely essential.
If ex-directory, we will respect this and not use the number for any purpose other than the execution of this order.

A mobile number can be most useful if the recipient is out temporarily as we can then ascertain if it is safe to leave the flowers.

Any special instructions
or things we should be aware of; e.g. electronic gates, guard dogs loose.

Is the recipient elderly or disabled and hence may not answer the door.
In some cases it may be wise to phone prior to delivery.

Do you know if there is normally someone at home during the day, or does everyone go out to work.
Would you like us to deliver later in the day?

Nobody home?
If recipient is not at home, we may either;

 leave flowers by front door
(only if sheltered from inclement weather and only if screened from the footpath /road when theft may be a problem)

Leave flowers at rear or in shed/garage
(in this case we would put a card through letterbox explaining this)

Leave flowers with a neighbour and post a card through their letterbox.
Do you know of any preferences e.g. a good friend 2 doors away?

Return flowers to shop and leave a card explaining this

It is not unknown for a recipient to be 'away' for a few days or even on holiday at the time of delivery.

 If this situation is likely, it could be wise to make some discreet enquiries yourself to ensure they will be at home.

In the event that we attempt to deliver flowers and we ascertain that the recipient is away, we would either;

Leave the flowers with a neighbour awaiting their return if the length of time is reasonable, say 24 hours or,

Phone you for specific instructions if you have provided a contact number and can be reached at that specific time or,

Return the flowers to the shop.

Further arrangements may be made on an individual basis and we will always attempt to complete the delivery to the best of our ability

Due to the costs involved in make-up and delivery, we regret that in any event the item will still be chargeable and any decision to issue a full or partial credit will be solely at our discretion.
